Uma Kalluparambil commenced her training in Bharatanatyam at the age of seven under the guidance of Smt. Vrinda Sunil. She further honed her skills in Bharatanatyam under the mentorship of Smt. Anitha Srikant at Nrityanjali Dance School totalling over 11 years of learning Bharatanatyam. Uma also immersed herself in Carnatic music for over 8 years under  Smt. Annapurna Calyam. Recently, she achieved first place at KHNA's distinguished Bharatanatyam Competition. She has also won several local competitions.Uma did her solo recital at Guruvayoor Temple, Thrissur Kerala on March 30th 2024. Her passion for dance extends to Bollywood dance, where she established and led the Bollywood Dance Club (BDC) at Carmel High School, showcasing her talents at numerous events alongside her group. Beyond her dance commitments, Uma actively participates in various extracurricular clubs, notably serving as the fundraising officer for UNICEF and CFC (Carmel For Connections). Furthermore, she completed the SAFL (Sanskrit as a Foreign Language) course in Sanskrit studies. Uma has been attending Balagokulam classes for over 13 years at HTCI Temple since the age of five through Grade 12. She is now poised to pursue a major in neuroscience at Indiana University of Indianapolis (IUI).
